Prospective PhD students
I expect to admit at least one PhD student to start in fall 2027. Admission runs through the PhD in Information Technology program in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology. Apply there first, since admission decisions are made through that process, not by me.
If you want me to see your application, email klybarge@gmu.edu with "PhD 2027" in the subject line. Introduce yourself, say what you want to work on and why this lab, and attach your CV as a PDF. Write as much or as little as that takes. It helps to name something concrete, either a paper or project of ours you would build on or a direction you think we have not explored. Both are welcome. I reply to emails written for this lab, not to general inquiries sent to many faculty at once.
I read these in batches and start replying in late fall. Silence before then is about my schedule, not your application.
